Our work takes us through a multitude of different homes and a variety of furnishings. From window coverings to upholstery to slipcovers and bedding, our vast range of work and design capabilities will be apparent in this section. The following projects represent to us the pinnacle of our work and the projects we have selected here are representative of our attention to detail and dedication to our craft.

All of the projects completed here are veritable works of textile art, and would not be possible without the generous support and commissions we receive from our clientele, to whom this section of our website is dedicated.

IDS WEST 2011

Images of our booth from IDS West. Featuring conceptual curtains, amazing lighting and very comfortable upholstery.

Old World Luxury

A view into our most extensive project to date. Ravi Design is honored to have been chosen as the soft furnisher to this remarkable home. All of the drapery and upholstery in this home is detailed exquisitely and crafted almost entirely by hand in the most traditional sense. This work represents a culmination of literally years of research, thousands of hours of curtain making and hundreds of pots of strong tea. We are entering into our third year of work on this home and it is ongoing.

Wabi Sabi Couture

This marvelous jewel of a home is full of incredible beauty and natural delight. We were commissioned to design and make curtains, but we felt this house needed more than just that. What took place was a radical re-interpretation of how we see and interact with curtains with the idea that change will come with age. This home will be an interesting ongoing study of materials. One of my most enjoyable projects to date.

Modern Living

Our first Project with Vancouver's Battersby+Howat. This modern home in Vancouver South offered an opportunity for us to make a gigantic curtain wall. Alongside some phenomenal wool upholstery and leather work. Again the range of our work is apparent here from the sheer drapery to the leather ottoman, everything is executed perfectly.

Freefall

A simple assembly of cloth banners in a very modern space.

The Great Wall of Curtains

This AMAZING Residence was a modern masterpiece set high above the Fraser Valley.

Denim Meets a Patchwork Death

Denim is such a versatile medium to work in as is evidenced by this brilliant example of patch worked curtains.

Fracture

Fracture are a set of 5 functioning shades in a white sheer precisely assembled from over 480 individual handmade banners.

Ethereality

Ethereality is a set of 9 curtains that form a u-shaped assembly enveloping a dining room and living room.

Blossoms

Blossoms signify feminine beauty, change of season and the transient nature of life. This assembly of curtains embodies some of our best work to date.

House of Silk and Stone

This magnificent home in Rockridge was the setting for a mix of soft and subtle textures in natural fabrics.
